Eye examinations take about 30-45 minutes
We don't just test for long or short-sightedness. We use advanced instruments to test for astigmatism, the distance between your pupils, your visual habits, even the way your eyes move around. You end up with lenses that are an individual fit for you and provide you with the clearest vision.

Eye Tests at Askew Eyewear
Askew Eyewear in Stoke Newington advises you to take an eye examination regularly to check your vision and overall eye health. Your optometrist will look at how clearly you can see and use specialist tools to examine your eyes.
At the end, you’ll get clear advice, and if needed, a prescription for lenses or follow-up care.

Are your eyes healthy?
Your eye examination is an important health check too. We will check your eyes to see if there are indictions of other medical conditions.
We will be looking for things like cataracts, glaucoma, retinal detachment and macular degeneration. Your eyes will also show the effects of other health problems such as diabetes and high blood pressure.
We are also able to offer an additional check on the health of the eyes called an OCT 3D Scan. This is an advanced check on the health of the eyes which is similar to an MRI of the eyes.
